Parents and Children

Here are just a few resources for parents to use with their children, for both recreation and learning.


Join in the Bradninch Sunflower competition.

If your child is 12 or under, please collect a sunflower pack from  outside 3 Jubilee Road. This contains 2 sunflower seeds and two small pots. Plant the seeds in some soil and when they are about 10 cms high plant them in the ground. They like sun and water.

On September 1st send in the photo of your Sunflower and the height in cms to


You are welcome to send in photos of their growing journey too! 

The tallest sunflower will receive a small prize of some children's gardening tools and seeds for next year!

There are limited packs so first come, first served. One per household please. There are also a few growing sunflowers that you are welcome to take but these are nor eligible for the competition. 


Owen Williams, who donated his services to design the Bradninch Together logo will be running weekly on-line children’s Art Clubs.

Online storytelling and book borrowing:

The 54 libraries across Devon are offering a variety of online events or children online. These events are constantly being added to. As well as the website linked in the title, they have a facebook page


Uplift is a community-facing organisation seeking to improve the lives of the under-fives and their families.

They will continue to provide essential clothing, nappies, accessories, toys and books for families with

children up to the age of 5 yrs. at their request
